PoE Over Coax Converter

  • Convert coax for use with PoE
  • 802.3af/at PoE input/output

  • Description

The ability to wire PoE cameras over coax is finally here, and it is stable. You’re reading it right, you can now send IP camera data and PoE power using existing RG59 or RG6 coax cable and this PoE over Coax converter set. While you’ll still need a PoE switch or PoE injector to send power and data using this kit, you no longer need to worry about the expense and effort of replacing your existing coax wiring. You can keep your existing wiring and upgrade to an IP camera system with the help of this kit.

If you already have an IP camera system and you have a lengthy run, this kit can also be used to exceed the 328 ft limit of Ethernet. You can simplify extended PoE (ePoE) runs by using coax wire that is inexpensive and weather resistant.

With the transceiver and receiver kit you can easily run one 1080P, 2K, or 4K PoE camera up to 2000 ft depending on the wattage consumption of the camera. For some low power Pan Tilt Zoom camera you can even go up to 2000 ft, that’s nearly half a mile! However, it’s important to note that pre-made coaxial cable will not work because of it’s thin gauge.

    Transmission Distance Power Capacity Bandwidth
    330ft (100m) 21W 100Mbps
    1000ft (300m) 11W 100Mbps
    2000ft (600m) 7W 10Mbps
