16 Camera Video Balun Receiver with Power Distribution capabilities, allows for video and power transmission to analog cameras using CAT5e or CAT6 cable with our video power baluns. This 16 channel passive video power balun hub allows you to consolidate your power supply into one source as opposed to 16 individual power adapters, or using a separate video balun hub and CCTV power distribution box.
Possible system setups:
Method 1: Direct connection to video balun and DVR
Connect DVR directly to the BNC video outputs on the receiver, and run network or UTP twisted pair cable to camera location (and terminate with passive video power baluns. Note max 12V DC power distance is 750ft for this type of video/power balun hub, depending on power consumption of the camera being used.
Method 2: Relay method
Use this video power balun hub as a relay point between a camera and 16 channel video balun receiver that is active or passive (only works with identical units). You can use this hub up to 750ft away from a video power balun connected to a camera to carry both video power signals. Video signals from up to 4 cameras can be retransmitted or relayed using a single RJ45 port labeled “4 in 1” to another multi-channel video balun receiver. This relay method allows the user to transmit video up to an additional 1300ft (CVBS) from this hub. This method is very useful in scenarios where several camera signals need to be consolidated to make wiring neater for large business installations with long cable runs.
